Activities on the Island for March 18th weekend!

FRIDAY, MARCH 18:


Old Pine Island Marine fishing seminar, 6:30 PM, with Capt. Matt Mitchell. Flats fishing for tarpon, snook, and redfish. Free of charge. Bring a chair. Cast net lessons throughout the day. Stringfellow Road in St. James City, 239-283-2548.

PI Elementary School Spring Fest Carnival, 5 – 8 PM at the school (just off Pine Island Road near the 4-way intersection). Fun for the entire family with games, contests, silent auctions, and more. For details call the school at 283-0505.

Bokeelia Cracker Café hosts their inaugural “Bokeelia Cracker Jam”, 4 – 9 pm, 13924 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia. Live music, hourly raffles, flea market. Admission – non-perishable food items, diapers, paper goods, etc – all to benefit the Pine Island Food Pantry. For more information call 239-282-2820.



SATURDAY, MARCH 19:

Art on the Green at the Paisley Parrot, Stringfellow Road, St. James City. Meet local artists as they offer their work along with art, antiques, gifts, flowers & more. Refreshments & hourly door prizes .Hours are 10am-3pm. Phone 282- 0331 for more info.

Bokeelia Cracker Café in Bokeelia continues their “Bokeelia Cracker Jam” to benefit the Pine Island Food Pantry. Live music, hourly raffles, flea market (7 am – noon), entertainment from 1 – 9 pm. Enjoy Mexican entrees, all under $10. Call 239-282-2820 for more details.

Sons of American Legion “SAL Sock Hop” with 50s & 60s music by the “Extrordinaires”. Food from 5- 7 pm, music 6:30 – 9:30 pm. SJC Hobby Club Open House Craft Show, 8 am -1 pm, at St. James City Civic Association, located at 4th and Lemon Streets, St. James City. Salad bar lunch 10 am – 12:30 pm. Bake sales, raffles. For details contact Dixie at 283-7253.
