American Legion Post 136 - Serving Burgers or Teriyaki Chicken 11:00AM-2:00PM and Pork Chops & Dressing from 5:00PM-7:00PM; Presenting Larry Roberts, 6:30PM-9:30PM
Bert's Bar & Grill -Presenting Harley Davison, 7:30 PM.
Elks - Open at 1 PM; serving dinner 5-7 pm:  Chicken Tenders Basket/Burgers/Fries.
Olde Fish House - Presents Rex & Stephanie, 5:30-9 PM.
Pine Island Public Library - 11am Summer Reading Team: Do you know that the coasts of Florida were once crawling with pirates? Katie Adams brings a treasure chest full of stories to life with colorful pirate garb, and props. For Kids K-5 ..Kids Read Down Fines, 1:00PM in the meeting room. For questions contact 533-4350

American Legion Post 136 -Serving Shrimp or Chicken Tenders 11 AM-2 PM. Serving Pizza 5-7 PM and join us for "Show Me the Money" card game from 6-8PM
Bert's Bar & Grill -Presenting Scotty Bryan, 6:30 PM.
Elks - Lodge Meeting; the bar will be open afterward.
Miceli's Restaurant - Presenting Paul Deever, 5-9 PM.
Nav-A-Gator - Lunch Special:  Carolina Burger topped with BBQ Pork, Cole Slaw; add a basket of homemade Chips for a great meal.
Tarpon Lodge - Presenting Michael Moore-Kelly, 6-9PM.  You can count on soothing, instrumental music with Michael on solo guitar.  Your cares just seem to sail away as you relax to his appealing sounds.  This is the place to be.

Miceli's Restaurant- BBQ Baby Back Ribs, 2 full racks, for 2 for $20 after 3 PM.  Presenting Bearlee Sober, 5-9 PM.
Nav-A-Gator - Dinner Special:  Golden Coconut Shrimp...perfectly fried, coconut bettered shrimp served with sautéed veggies, house salad, dirty rice and black beans....top off dinner with a serving of deep fried Twinkies.
 
 
PINE ISLAND FISH INC - 2013 FISH BASKET BRIGADE 14TH ANNUAL CLOTHES FOR KIDS PROGRAM
Parents who find it financially difficult to buy new clothes for their children's first days of school are asked to call: Peg at 283-3874 or Mary Jo at 283-7862. All requests must be received no later than July 26th. The above phone numbers apply to those who would like to "adopt" a child* (see * below) or may wish to make a donation to this very worthwhile program. Drop off point for clothes is Fire Station Number One at Pine Island Center. For those who prefer to make a monetary contribution, tax-deductible donations may be made to Pine Island FISH, indicating "Clothing for Kids" in the memo line. Checks may be mailed to Pine Island FISH, PO Box 357, Matlacha, FL 33993. *All family information remains confidential: only the age and first name of a child is given to the adoptive person(s) to assist them with their purchases.
 
MATLACHA HOOKERS SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION
- The Annual summer school supply drive deadline is August 1st. If you have any questions regarding how to make a monetary donation, drop off locations or a list of needed supplies please contact Karen McKee at 218-2123 or Cindee Tolliver at 283-4040.
 
 
O.W.L.S. Series (Older, Wiser, Laughing Souls) -  Presented by the Beacon of H.O.P.E. on Thursday, August 8 "Saving $ On Health Insurance", Thursday, September 12 "Simple Steps for Better Vision)" and Friday, October 4 "Memory, I think...?" at Pine Island Methodist Church 5701 Pine Island Rd., Bokeelia from 8-10 AM.  These fun and informative presentations include:  free breakfast with power food for your brain, gentle stretching, 20 minutes Knowledge presentation and a basket raffle.  Pre-register at the Beacon of H.O.P.E.  by calling 239-283-5123.
